Plants do photosynthesis to maintain their green color, but how the leaves and ginkgo change color in autumn?
The leaves are shown in two main colors.
The first is red, and the second is yellow.

1. Turns red case
The Anthocyanins are formed in the leaves and turn red
instead the red maple disappears the chlorophyll.

It is often known as an antioxidant
and is found in many fruits such as blueberries.
If you look at the fruits containing these anthocyanins,
you can see that they are all reddish inside.

2. Turns yellow case
Yellow maple is a tree that cannot make anthocyanins.
So in autumn, chlorophyll decomposes,
leaving only the original color yellow.
This yellow light is due to the existing carotenoid pigment.
